Our attorneys—Richie Aranda and Lisa Blanco Jimenez—volunteered for the First Impressions program this spring. The program allowed this fifth-grade class at Woodward Elementary School in Manteca to learn about the judicial system alongside Superior Court Judge Barbara Kronlund and actively practicing attorneys. The fifth graders studied the Constitution, learned the different roles in the courtroom, and then participated in a mock trial at the new Stockton courthouse. The Big Bad Wolf was prosecuted for the murder of two of the Three Little Pigs. It was a hung jury with a verdict of 13 for guilty and 6 for not guilty. We wonder whether the prosecution will decide to retry the Big Bad Wolf during their summer break! 🐺 🐷🐷🐷
