Rudy V.
Bilawski is a principal
at Neumiller & Beardslee. He has been practicing law
over 35 years and his expertise lies in the areas of public
and private financing law, real estate law, business organization
law, and loan work-outs. Mr. Bilawski is one of only two
qualified bond counsel located in San Joaquin County.
In April 1995, Mr. Bilawski was selected by the Treasurer
of the State of California to join the pool of lawyers
from which that office selects bond counsel for the various
State of California financing transactions. In February
2001, Mr. Bilawski was co-bond counsel for a 954
Million Dollar general obligation bond issue by the State
of California.
Mr. Bilawski represents clients
as diverse as the wineries of Delicato Vineyards and Ironstone;
Holt of California (a Caterpillar dealer); BMD (a building
material distributor); San Bernabe Vineyards (the largest
contiguous vineyard in the U.S.); agribusinesses; family
farms and ranches; a variety of manufacturers such as
plastic and lumber; various medical professionals; apartment
managers; and a number of homebuilders and construction
subcontractors.
Mr. Bilawski is a member of American
College of Mortgage Attorneys, Inc., Municipal Bond Attorneys
of the United States, and California Business Administration
Association. He is also a member of the San Joaquin County
and California State Bar Associations. Mr. Bilawski is
rated “AV” (the highest possible rating) by
Martindale-Hubbell, the standard directory of attorneys
in the United States and he has been recognized as a Super
Lawyer by Law & Politics Magazine.
Born and raised in Bremerhaven,
West Germany, Mr. Bilawski is fluent in the German language.
He obtained his B.A. in Economics from the University
of California at Berkeley in 1964, his Masters in Business
Administration (Transportation Economics and Finance)
(Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society) in 1966, and his Juris
Doctor from Boalt Hall, University of California in 1969.
He was admitted to practice in California in 1970 and
before the U.S. Supreme Court in 1988. From 1986 until
2002, Mr. Bilawski acted as Judicial Arbitrator for the
Superior Court of San Joaquin County, California.
