Jon R.
Beckler is a legal assistant with Neumiller &
Beardslee whose practice areas focus on residential and
commercial subdivision law and related transactions, preparation
of CC&Rs and other governing documents for common
interest communities, the requirements of the secondary
residential mortgage market, homeowners association covenant
and rule enforcement, and general corporate and business
practice requirements for homeowners’ associations.
This work includes: (i) preparing formation documents
for both standard subdivisions and common interest developments;
(ii) assisting developer clients in obtaining public reports
issued by the California Department of Real Estate that
authorize sales of homes; (iii) drafting opinion letters
for project approval by FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, and other agencies
which purchase or insure loans in the secondary mortgage
market; (iv) preparing road easement agreements; (v) drafting
license agreements for maintenance of improvements by
homeowners associations within public rights of way; (vi)
preparing documents for specialized developments like
senior citizen housing, zero lot line housing, master
planned communities and other mixed use developments;
and (vii) controlling and maintaining format documents
for these various purposes.
Mr. Beckler is a member of the
Community Associations Institute. He has written numerous
articles published in the newsletter of the Central California
Chapter of CAl.
In 1973, Mr. Beckler obtained
his B.A. in English Literature from the University of
the Pacific, and has worked at Neumiller & Beardslee
since 1976. Mr. Beckler works under the supervision of
attorneys Duncan R. McPherson and Clifford W. Stevens.
