James T. C. Nuss serves Of Counsel with the law firm of Neumiller & Beardslee. With over 25 years of practicing law, he has developed expertise in the practice areas of banking, lending, finance, commercial law, and secured transactions, including real estate foreclosure work. His practice area also includes trademark and copyright law.
Prior to becoming an Of Counsel attorney at Neumiller & Beardslee, Mr. Nuss was a partner for 25 years with the Stockton law firm of Geiger, Rudquist, Nuss, Coon & Keen, LLP.
An active community member, Mr. Nuss is a former Director of the San Joaquin County YMCA (1995-2002) and currently serves as vice president and member of the board of The Central Valley Chapter of The Risk Management Association. He also serves on the Governing Board of the San Joaquin County Bar Association and the Executive Committee of the Information Technology Section of that organization.
In 1972, Mr. Nuss graduated from the University of Oregon with a B.S. in Political Science. He earned his Juris Doctor from McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific in 1979. Mr. Nuss is a member of the California State Bar and San Joaquin County Bar Associations. He was admitted to the California Bar in 1979 and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court, Eastern and Northern Districts.
